Xavier University Research Conduct
Before distributing a survey using the Qualtrics tool, remember that your survey may require a prior review and approval from Xavier University's Institutional Review Board. Take time to visit the IRB site for helpful information and forms regarding proper research clearance.
Please note that the guideline for communications to more than 500 members of the university community is to utilize Today at Xavier and the Announcements site for communications to faculty and staff, and to submit communications for inclusion in the SGA Student Weekly for communications to students. These can be submitted at http://xavier.edu/announcements. Any communication outside these channels to the university community, including email blasts, should go through University Communications via a request from a member of the Senior Executive Team.
Due to survey fatigue on Xavier students, a survey invitation targeted to more than 500 current students requires specific approval of the Provost Office. In addition, it is highly recommended that any survey to the Xavier community (students, faculty or staff) is planned well in advance, and its schedule be coordinated with the Office of Institutional Research (institutionalresearch@xavier.edu).
