Sending/Receiving Encrypted Email Messages via Outlook

Xavier's email service has support for sending encrypted email messages.

The recipient of your message will use a passcode to decrypt and view the content of your email message. This can be useful in situations where sensitive material is being shared between two people. 

Sending an Encrypted Email Message

1. Open a new email message.
2. In the subject line, type [ENCRYPT] before the actual subject.
3. Type your message. When finished, send the message as usual.
   
   

Receiving an Encrypted Email Message

1. Open the email message. 
2. Download and open the "message.html" attachment.
3. Click Use a One Time Passcode.
   
   
4. An email will be sent to the recipient email address with the one time passcode:
   
   
    
5. Enter the passcode, then click Continue to view the message content.
