The Lenovo ThinkPad T440s has two cursor controls - a TrackPad, and a TrackPoint (located on the keyboard).
Neither has physical buttons for right and left click, but rather relies upon the position in which you click on the TrackPad, which translates into a right or left click. Knowing how this operates will help ensure that you have a good experience with it.
When using the TrackPad (2 - in the image below), clicking the TrackPad anywhere in area (6), will respond as a normal left click. Clicking in area (7) will respond as a right click.
However, if you are using the TrackPoint (1) instead, then areas 3, 4, and 5 active and serve as mouse buttons. Area (3) will serve as a normal left click, and area (5) as a right click. Area (4) will activate a scrolling function.

Additional customizations are available via the ThinkPad control panel (such as enlarging the right-click area on the TrackPad)
