Installing the VidGrid Recorder

To start recording with VidGrid, you'll need to download the Screen Recorder. You will be prompted to install the recorder the first time you attempt to create content in VidGrid, whether that is through Canvas (recommended) or the ilos website.

1. Make sure you're logged in to VidGrid. This can be through Canvas anywhere you edit a page, assignment, discussion, or announcement by using the VidGrid button:
   
   
   
   
    
2. VidGrid can also be accessed at app.vidgrid.com.
3. Make sure to click the Enterprise Login button before attempting to log in.
   
   
4. Use your full xavier email address, then complete login on the standard Xavier login page
5. Go to app.vidgrid.com/installRecorder
   1. You must visit this after logging in or the recording app will not be logged in to your VidGrid account, and will not know where to upload your recordings.
6. If the Recorder doesn't automatically download, click Direct download link on the page.
7. Activate the VidGrid Screen Recorder from the bottom of the page.
8. Follow along with the install process.
9. Launch the Recorder from either the blue Record button or your desktop.
