Connecting Computers, Tablets and Phones to Xavier Wireless

Please Note: These instructions are intended ONLY for personal devices. This is NOT for Xavier-issued Devices. Please contact the Service Desk for support of Xavier-issued devices. 

In this article are setup instructions for connecting to xavierwireless:

• Android
• Apple iPhone and iPad
• Mac OS
• Windows

Android

1. On your device, join the xavierwifisetup or xavierguest network.
2. Open your device's web browser. If the setup page doesn't load, navigate to http://wifisetup.xavier.edu.
3. Under Step 1, click Download. You will be sent to Google Play Store to install the Secure W2 JoinNow app. Open the app once installed.
4. Enter and submit your Xavier credentials when prompted by the app.
5. You will see a dialog indicating you have successfully connected to xavierwireless. Click Done to complete the process.

Apple iPhone and iPad

1. On your device, join the xavierwifisetup or xavierguest network.
2. Open a web browser and navigate to wifisetup.xavier.edu.
3. On the webpage, choose the iOS option, Join Now, and then enter your Xavier credentials (username without "@xavier.edu" and password). Submit the information.
4. You will be prompted to download and install the xavier.edu profile. Tap Download when prompted.
5. Navigate to your device's Settings.
6. Find the downloaded profile and tap on it.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the profile. You might be asked to enter your device passcode.
8. Once the profile is installed, your device will automatically connect to the xavierwireless network securely.

Mac OS

1. On your device, join the xavierwifisetup or xavierguest network.
2. Open a web browser and navigate to wifisetup.xavier.edu.
3. On the webpage, choose the Mac option, Join Now, and then enter your Xavier credentials (username without "@xavier.edu" and password). Submit the information.
4. You will be prompted to download the xavier.edu profile. Click Download when prompted.
5. Open System Preferences from the Apple menu or the dock.
6. In System Preferences, locate and click on Profiles. The downloaded xavier.edu profile should be automatically listed.
7. Select the xavier.edu profile from the list.
8. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the profile. You might be asked to enter your Mac's account password.
9. After the profile is installed, your Mac will automatically connect to the xavierwireless network securely.

Windows

1. On your device, join the xavierwifisetup or xavierguest network.
2. Open your device's web browser. If the setup page doesn't load, navigate to http://wifisetup.xavier.edu.
3. Click the JoinNow button.
4. Download and open the SecureW2 application as prompted.
5. Enter your Xavier credentials and click Next to start the join process.
6. When the process is completed, you will be able to click Done and dismiss the window.
