Inline Images Display as a Red "X" in Outlook 2016

In Outlook:

1. Click the File tab.
   
   
    
2. Click Options.
   
   
    
3. Click Trust Center >> Trust Center Settings.
   
   
    
4. Uncheck the box next to the "Don't download pictures automatically in HTML e-mail messages or RSS items" option. Should this not work, Office may need to be repaired or reinstalled.
