Setting up Outlook on an Android Device

To setup Outlook for Android, follow these steps:

  1. Download Microsoft Outlook Mobile on your Android device.
  2. Tap on Outlook to run it.
  3. Enter your Xavier email address, and tap Continue.
  4. If prompted to choose an account type, tap on Office 365.
  5. You will be redirected to a Xavier login page. Enter your Xavier credentials in the spaces provided. Click Sign In. 
  6. If you previously set up Android Mail to check your Xavier account, you should turn off syncing:
    1. In your phone'sSettings, tap Accounts & Sync (Or Accounts)
    2. Select the mail app you previously used
    3. Tap Settings
    4. Select the Email Address
    5. Tap Settings (Or Email Sync)
    6. Tap Set Sync Schedule (Or Check Frequency)
    7. Select ‘Manually’ (Or Never) from the options
Android phones can vary in how they present settings/options. If those shown in step 6 do not match your phone, please consult your mobile provider's or phone manufacturer's support for further assistance.
