Changing the look and feel of Outlook Web App (OWA)

Reverting to the "old look" of Outlook Web Access

This setting will tweak OWA so that it slightly resembles the previous version. Completely reverting to the legacy OWA system is not available.
  1. In Outlook Web App, click the gear icon in the upper-right corner.

  2. From the menu, choose Display Settings.

  3. Click on Outlook Web App Version.
  4. Check the box for Use the Light Version of Outlook Web App.

  5. Click OK. The change will take effect the next time you login to OWA.

Adjusting various display settings (threading, sorting and preview pane)

  1. In OWA, click gear icon >> Display Settings.
  2. The following settings can be modified:
    • Message List - Modify whether the sender or subject is displayed on top, and to show/hide preview text from the first few sentences.
    • Conversations - Choose to show the newest or oldest message on top, and to show/hide deleted messages in conversation view.
    • Reading Pane - Turn off the preview pane, or display it on the right/bottom side of the window.
  3. Click OK to apply settings.
