"Outlook is unable to connect to the proxy server" Error

This error is usually caused by incorrect network settings. The error dialog will look like this:

 
 
To resolve the issue, make sure there are no proxies set:
  1. Type "Control Panel" in the Search Box >> Hit Enter key.
  2. In the ne window, click on Network and Internet >> Internet Options
  3. Click the Connections tab.
  4. Click the LAN Settings button.
  5. Make sure all the boxes are unchecked and that no IP addresses are present in any of the boxes.


     
  6. Click OK.
