Devices Periodically Lose Connection with Solstice


A device (laptop or tablet) loses connection to the Solstice, and the Welcome Screen displays again. The device can be reconnected, but after a time this behavior repeats itself.


The Solstice is designed to mirror the desktop of an active display.

Should that display go to sleep or turn off, that will in turn disconnect the shared device from the Solstice. The repetitiveness of the issue is due to scheduled timing of display sleep after a period of inactivity (typically 10 minutes while on battery).


To resolve this issue, increase the time allowance before your screen enters sleep:
