Classroom Equipment Request Guidelines

What equipment is available?

The room you are using may already have equipment installed. Please reference this list before requesting.

Our office provides the following supplemental equipment on a first-come, first-serve basis:

  • Blu-ray/DVD players
  • Conference phones
  • Document cameras
  • External optical drives
  • Laptops in bulk for exams and special events. Individual laptops for faculty meetings or student/classroom use should be checked out directly from the 3rd floor CLC Connection Center desk. These are available anytime from the desk, and are due back before the library closes.
  • Microphones (depending on location)
  • Projectors 
  • Projector Screens

Who can request equipment?

  • Classroom Technology equipment can be directly requested by employees and graduate students only.
  • Undergraduate students must have a faculty sponsor place a request on their behalf.

When can I request equipment?

  • Requests should be made at least two (2) business days in advance of an event. Last-minute requests are best-effort on our part.

How are requests processed?

  • Most items are available for pickup at the CLC Connection Center Desk. We deliver bulk items and items which require our intervention to setup. 
  • Gallagher Student Center has laptops and AV presentation equipment available, depending on the need. Please contact GSC to reserve equipment for events held in that building. 
  • We do not deliver AV equipment to residential areas or off-campus locations.
  • If you are planning an absence from your classes, please arrange for a student in your class to turn on equipment or play your media as needed. We can work with that student to train them in advance, if necessary.
