Creating student video assignments in Panopto

With Panopto you can create an assignment in Canvas that lets students record or upload videos using Panopto. You will also learn how to determine where those videos will be saved in your account, and see options for then reviewing the submissions. By having students follow our instructions below you will also be able to review within SpeedGrader, which most faculty prefer.

How to Create a Video assignment in Canvas - Panopto Support

Important

For student's to be able to use Panopto you should set the assignment submission type to Text Entry

Make sure to follow the steps to create an Assignment folder, or your students may be unable to record or upload!

Assignment folders are not recreated after a course copy, so make sure to set them up again after you do a Canvas course copy.
