COVID-19 and IT Help Desk Support

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Xavier IT Help Desk and Classroom Technology will be operating differently as of Fall 2020. 

Hours of Operation

Starting August 17, Help Desk and Classroom Technology areas will re-open with Fall office hours:

  • Mon - Thu: 8:00 am to 8:00 pm
  • Fri: 8:00 am to 7:00 pm
  • Sat/Sun: 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Support Options

There will be multiple support options available, listed below. 

We encourage all users to take advantage of no-contact options as much as possible, to help keep everyone safe. Our staff can effectively provide most support outside classroom environments remotely.

  • All NON-classroom-tech issues and requests:
    • Log a ticket via our support portal at is the preferred method for all non-emergencies.
    • Call the Help Desk at 745-4357 (HELP). Callers should expect longer than normal hold times when using phone support. 
    • Face to face consults are provided by appointment only. An appointment kiosk is located at the CLC front desk for booking appointments up to 30 minutes long with Help Desk staff. Appointments are available to book Mon-Fri.

  • Classroom tech issues and requests:
    • During classes, contact Classroom Technology during business hours at 745-3603.
